• Education, 20 Oct 1719-1727, Trinity College, Dublin. 5 John Crampton, who paid a fixed sum annually, entered Trinity College on October 20, 1719, aged 18. His Schoolmaster was Mr. MacIlwain of Dublin. John Crampton was born in Armagh and was the son of John Crampton, a watchmaker. He graduated with a BA (Bachelor of Arts) in spring 1724 and a MA (Master of Arts) in summer 1727. He became Archdeacon of Tuam.

John married Charlotte Fiennes Twisleton, daughter of Colonel Fiennes Twisleton Baron Saye & Sele (11th) and Mary Clarke, on 13 Jan 1731 in St. Andrew's, Dublin, Ireland.2 4 (Charlotte Fiennes Twisleton was born in 1710 in Broughton Castle, Oxfordshire, England and died on 7 Mar 1776 in Headford, Galway, Connacht, Ireland.)
