Philip Crampton is recorded as being Lord Mayor of Dublin in the Smyly Archives. • Occupation: Rector of Headford, County Galway, Ireland. 3 • Education, 1 Jan 1750-1754, Trinity College, Dublin. 4 Cecil Burleigh Crampton, who paid a fixed sum annually, entered Trinity College on January 1, 1749-50, aged 16. His Schoolmaster was Dr. Boyle. Cecil Burleigh Crampton was the son of Archdeacon Philip Crampton. He was recorded as a scholar in 1752 and graduated with a BA (Bachelor of Arts) in spring 1754. No further particulars are known. Cecil married Nicola Mary Marsh, daughter of Jeremy Marsh and Jane French. (Nicola Mary Marsh was born in 1754 in Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland 6.) |
